The owner of a lead generation business in career training needed help growing his pipeline of trade school leads.
A business owner had a website that contained lots of information about career programs in the trade school space. The content was focused on various career paths for skilled trades and healthcare professions such as electrician, plumber, medical assistant, dental assistant, and nurse. The purpose of the website was to connect users looking for training programs with schools in their area. However, despite creating hundreds of well written guides, organic traffic to the site was minimal. The site was barely profitable.
What could be done to grow organic traffic and increase the amount of leads?
The website owner contacted Clark Optimization for help. We put together a website strategy audit to understand the strengths and weaknesses of the site. Our audit revealed that while the content generation efforts were substantial, the website suffered from technical SEO problems that were holding back performance. The WordPress CMS was not configured to maximize the SEO potential of each article. Broken links and URL changes had also hindered search engine robots from crawling (external website were linking to pages that no longer existed).
In addition, our audit also identified their main competitors and revealed over 50 different topics that the competition was using for organic traffic. Our team helped to generate articles that not only targeted the competitors’ keywords but contain 5 times as much information.
